HEALTH INSURANCE

More ways to protect what matters.

Explore Marketplace, off-Marketplace, medically underwritten, and defined benefit options with a clear understanding of what each provides.

Understand your coverage options

Whether you’re self employed, changing jobs, or purchasing coverage for your family, the right conversation starts with your needs. We help you compare costs, provider access, prescriptions, and policy limitations before you decide.

Marketplace and off-Marketplace ACA plans are both offered by private insurance companies. Buying outside the Marketplace does not automatically mean a plan is medically underwritten or offers different benefits.

Marketplace / ACA Coverage

Explore comprehensive individual and family coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Eligible households may qualify for premium tax credits and other savings.

Marketplace plans cover essential health benefits and cannot deny coverage or charge more because of a pre-existing condition. Enrollment periods and eligibility requirements apply.

Comprehensive coverage • Potential financial assistance • Pre-existing condition protections

Private / Medically Underwritten Plans

Explore available non-ACA options that may review your health history as part of the application. Depending on the product, approval, premiums, or coverage terms may depend on underwriting.

These plans can have pre-existing condition exclusions, benefit caps, waiting periods, or benefits that differ substantially from ACA coverage. Availability and terms vary by state, insurer, and policy. We help you review the actual policy before deciding.

Health-history review • Product-specific benefits • Eligibility and exclusions apply

Off-Marketplace Major Medical

Consider ACA-compliant individual and family plans purchased outside the Marketplace through an insurer or licensed agent. Compare available plans, networks, and total costs alongside Marketplace options.

ACA-compliant major medical plans retain ACA protections. Marketplace premium tax credits and income-based cost-sharing reductions are not available for coverage purchased off-Marketplace.

Direct purchase • ACA-compliant options • No Marketplace subsidies

Defined Benefit / Fixed Indemnity

Explore policies that pay a specified amount for covered events or services according to a benefit schedule, rather than paying the full cost of care.

These are limited-benefit policies, not comprehensive major medical coverage or a substitute for it. Benefits may be substantially less than your medical bills. Review covered events, payment limits, exclusions, and any underwriting requirements.

Scheduled benefit payments • Supplemental protection • Policy limits apply
